Call for tenders: Organizing Training Program

Fee contract for the management and monitoring of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – New York Office’s Organizing Training program for 2025

The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – New York Office (further: RLS NYC) is looking for a comprehensive Organizing Training Program to run as the flagship training offering for the year 2025.

The Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung is an internationally operating, progressive nonprofit institution for civic education. The foundation’s New York Office is part of the global network of the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung since 2012. It serves two major tasks: to work on issues concerning the United Nations, including collaboration with people and political representatives from the Global South, and to work with North American (US and Canadian) progressives in universities, unions, social movements, progressive institutions and think tanks. The office’s Director is Stefan Liebich.

Tasks

Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung – New York Office is seeking a qualified and demonstrated proficient Organizing training program to help interested workers, organizers and activist’s build power within their communities to bargain for their interests. The program should be offered in multiple languages and allow for a large capacity and swath of working class groups to learn techniques and principles of organizing and persuading peers. These techniques should be applicable directly within the workplace and have applicability to expand beyond into various programmatic areas the RLS-NYC office is active in. RLS-NYC is interested particularly in a program that has demonstrated experience in working with non-profit organizations, labor unions, collectives and activist networks. The end goals of the program should teach fundamental techniques for building majorities in relevant spaces and starting as well as executing campaigns in these spaces. The program administrators will be responsible for implementing and inviting attendees to the workshops and recording outcomes to report back to RLS.

The main tasks include:

  • Creating and implementing an online training program around organizing techniques and campaigns.
  • Develop materials and networks for implementation of program in multiple countries
    • Workshop facilitators
    • Interpreters
  • Invite relevant stakeholders to participate in program/workshops
  • Track and analyse key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of program initiatives and provide data for monitoring reports.

Scope and duration of the contract

The scope of work may vary depending upon size and schedule of program but is expected to be 180 working days.

If applicants are subject to VAT, this must be stated in the application. The VAT will then be paid additionally. If no notification is made, the gross amount will be charged.
