Two Minutes to Midnight

Videos from this event’s live streaming are available here (morning session) and here (afternoon session). The keynote address by Prof. Noam Chosmky is available to watch on our YouTube channel. Photos from this event available here

Join us on May 12 at Judson Memorial Church to hear Noam Chomsky, Daniel Ellsberg, and a dozen other esteemed peace activists discuss what needs to be done to move from geopolitical conflict to nuclear abolition.

Last year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) for its tireless advocacy work, which has thus far led to the adoption of a Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons by 122 UN member states.

Our gathering takes place on the eve of a planned UN High Level Conference on Nuclear Disarmament, where ICAN will continue its work in collaboration with a broad network of peace activists and organizations.
Despite all the good work, let us not forget that it is still just “Two Minutes to Midnight” on the Doomsday Clock. What can we do now to advance peace and nuclear abolition around the world?

This event will take place from 10am-4pm on Saturday, May 12, at Judson Memorial Church, 55 Washington Square South, New York City. Pre-registration is required, as Judson Memorial Church holds only 250 people. We urge you to register for this important event as soon as possible.

Two Minutes to Midnight is co-hosted by the Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung—New York Office, American Friends Service Committee, International Peace Bureau, Campaign for Peace, Disarmament and Common Security, Peace & Planet, Peace Action-New York State, and Brooklyn for Peace.
