Joshua Simon, director of the MoBy museums in Bat Yam/Israel about his exhibition “The Kids Want Communism” in Tel Aviv and Berlin.
The exhibition “The Kids Want Communism” marks the conclusion of a series of exhibitions in Bat Yam/Tel Aviv (1) commemorating the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution of 1917, parts of which will move to Berlin, to Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien (2) in September 2017. Among others, the artists will participate: Bini Adamczak, New Barbizon (Olga Kundina, Zoya Cherkassky, Natalia Zurabova, Asya Lukin), Diego Castro, Nir Harel, Micah Hesse, Jacob Koesten, etc. Joshua Simon, museum director and curator of the exhibition, explains in an interview with marx200.org why he still finds the artistic examination of the communist idea topical.
