On February 28, we hosted a discussion on the 2025 German Federal Elections in collaboration with Jacobin magazine. The conversation featured Sofia Leonidakis, leader of Die Linke in Bremen, and Stefan Liebich, director of RLS NYC and former German politician, with moderation by Bhaskar Sunkara, founding editor of Jacobin and president of The Nation. The speakers examined the rise of the far right, the unexpected electoral gains of Die Linke, and the broader implications for Germany’s political future.
