One month after COP26, members of Trade Unions For Energy Democracy (TUED) discuss the outcomes of meetings and events in Glasgow. TUED unions and allies were able to advance the narrative of the need for public ownership and democratic control of energy.
In this video, TUED reports back on the messages heard in Glasgow from trade unionists in the Global South and North and the successful launch of an alternative vision for a just transition with the Trade Union Program for a Public Low-Carbon Energy Future. The list of unions signing-on to the program continues to grow, and this show of support will be the basis for our discussion on where we go from here and how we can prepare for the next phase of our work.
